OUR STAFF

Manager Scott Behnke has been in the gun club business for over 36 years. He has been a State Director for sporting clays. He sat on the National Steering Committee for sporting clays and is the chief referee for skeet in the State of Michigan.

He hosts the referee and cashier clinic for the state of Michigan and runs the Michigan Hall of Fame for the Michigan Skeet Association which is housed at the club. His wife Debbie, is the kitchen manager and does all of our book keeping. She is also in charge of the Detroit Gun Club website.

More than anything, the Detroit Gun Club is known for it’s excellent staff. Orr trap help is very knowledgeable and eager to please.

Our wait staff and counter help are very personable and outgoing.

 ABOUT OUR FIELDS AND COURSES:

OUR SKEET FIELD

Our skeet fields at the DGC are second to none. Our machines are top of the line Superstars with 300 target carousels. Our skeet tournaments set the standards for other gun clubs across the country. They are run with professional cashiers and referees.

OUR SPORTING CLAY COURSE

Our sporing clay course is a paved mile long trail winding through pines and hardwoods. It includes 14 stations with 4 machines per station. We offer 3 course options, Blue, Green, and Red. These options range in different levels of difficulty to accommodate all shooters. We have a 60 ft. tower, elevated shooting stands, as well as elevated throwing platforms. Our course runs on a state of the art wireless electronic E-Z Pull system. We are constantly changing our course to keep it exciting for our  members.
